Have You Ever Seen This?

I for one, am thankful for the power of the Internet. I would never see this in or on any of this country's main media outlets.....Shame on them...!!!

DO YOU  KNOW WHAT THIS IS?  OR WHERE THIS IS?

This statue currently stands outside the Iraqi palace, now home to the 4th Infantry division.   It will eventually be shipped home and put in the memorial museum in Fort Hood Texas

The statue was created by an Iraqi artist named  Kalat, who for years was forced by Saddam Hussein to make the many hundreds of bronze busts of Saddam that dotted Baghdad
Kalat was so grateful for the America's liberation of his country; he melted 3 of the heads of the fallen Saddam and made the statue as a memorial to the American soldiers and their fallen warriors

Kalat worked on this memorial night and day for several months.

To the left of the kneeling soldier is a small Iraqi girl giving the soldier comfort as he mourns the loss of his comrade in arms.

Do you know why we don't hear about this in the news?  The media avoids it because it does not have the shock effect.  But we can do something about it.

We can pass this along to as many people as we can in honor of all our brave military who are making a difference.

And please pass this on!

CATCHING PIGS

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab, the Prof noticed one
young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist regime.

In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question He asked: "Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said that it was no joke.

"You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming.

When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.

They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side.

The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again.

You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom.

They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught.

Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity."

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America ..... The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps  spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies,
dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.

One should always remember two truths:
1) There is no such thing as a free lunch, someone is paying for it;

2) and when you begin to think that having your government provide for you and make your decisions is ok, realize that you’ve also given up the freedom that goes with making your own choices.

If you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this on to your friends.
If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life, then you will probably delete this email.

But heaven help you when the gate slams shut.

Four Worms in Church

Four Worms in Church

(Four worms and a lesson to be learned !!!)

A Minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon.

Four worms were placed into four separate jars.

The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.

The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.

The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.

The fourth worm was put into a container of good, clean soil.

At the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following results:

The first worm in alcohol
.. Dead.

The second worm in cigarette smoke
.. Dead.

The third worm in chocolate syrup .. Dead.

The fourth worm in good, clean soil .. Alive .

So the Minister asked the congregation, "What did you learn from this demonstration?"

Maxine was sitting in the back and quickly raised her hand and said,

"As long as you drink, smoke, and eat chocolate, you won't have worms!"

That pretty much ended the service !!
Today is International Disturbed People's Day.

Please send an encouraging message to a disturbed friend .. Just as I have done.

"I've Learned..." The insigths of life

If  you will take the time to read these. I promise you'll come away with
an enlightened perspective. The subjects covered affect us all on a daily basis:

They were  written by Andy Rooney, a man who had the gift of saying so
much with so few words. Enjoy.......

I've  learned..... That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

I've learned..... That when you're in love, it shows.

I've learned..... That just one person saying to me, "You've made my day!" makes my day.

I've  learned..... That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the
most peaceful feelings in the world.

I've learned..... That being kind is more important than being right.

I've  learned..... That you should never say no to a gift from a child.

I've learned..... That I can always pray for someone when I don't
have the strength to help him in some other way.

I've learned..... That no matter how serious your life requires you
to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.

I've learned..... That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to
hold and a heart to understand.

I've learned..... That simple walks with my father around the block
on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.

I've learned..... That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets
to the end, the faster it goes.

I've learned..... That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.

I've  learned..... That money doesn't buy class.

I've learned..... That it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.

I've  learned..... That under everyone's hard shell is someone who
wants to be appreciated and loved.

I've learned..... That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I 've learned..... That when you plan to get even with someone,
you are only letting that person continue  to hurt you.

I've learned..... That love, not time, heals all wounds.

I've learned..... That the easiest way for me to grow as a person
is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.

I've learned..... That everyone you meet deserves to be
greeted with a smile.

I've  learned..... That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.

I've learned.... That life is tough, but I'm tougher.

I've learned..... That opportunities are never lost;  someone will
take the ones you miss.

I've  learned..... That when you harbor bitterness, happiness
will dock elsewhere.

I've learned..... That I wish I could have told my Mom that
I love her one more time before she passed away.

I've learned..... That one should keep his words both soft
and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.

I've learned...... That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

I've learned...... That when your newly born grandchild holds
your little finger in his little fist,  you're hooked for life.

I've  learned..... That everyone wants to live on top of the
mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.

I've learned..... That the less time I have to work with,  the more things I get done.

To all of you.... Make sure you read all the way down to the last sentence.

Socialism by Dr. Thomas Sowell

I think that you're gonna love what Dr. Sowell has the say. If not the Truth hurts, and I know how that works.

Thomas Sowell (born June 30, 1930) is an American economistsocial theorist, political philosopher, and author. A National Humanities Medal winner, he advocates laissez-faire economics and writes from a libertarian perspective. He is currently a Rose and Milton Friedman Senior Fellow on Public Policy at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.

Sowell was born in North Carolina, but grew up in HarlemNew York. He dropped out of high school, and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He had received a bachelor's degree from Harvard University in 1958 and a master's degree from Columbia University in 1959. In 1968, he earned his doctorate degree in economics from the University of Chicago.
Dr. Sowell has served on the faculties of several universities, including Cornell and University of California, Los Angeles, and worked for "think tanks" such as the Urban Institute. Since 1980 he has worked at the Hoover Institution. He is the author of more than 30 books.

By Dr. Sowell

The current Occupy Wall Street movement is the best illustration to date of what President Barack Obama's America looks like. It is an America where the lawless, unaccomplished, ignorant and incompetent rule.
It is an America where those who have sacrificed nothing pillage and destroy the lives of those who have sacrificed greatly.

It is an America where history is rewritten to honor dictators, murderers and thieves. It is an America where violence, racism, hatred, class warfare and murder are all promoted as acceptable means of overturning the American Civil society.

It is an America where humans have been degraded to the level of animals: defecating in public, having sex in public, devoid of basic hygiene. It is an America where the basic tenets of a civil society, including faith, family, a free press and individual rights, have been rejected. It is an America where our founding documents have been shredded and, with them, every person's guaranteed liberties.

It is an America where, ultimately, great suffering will come to the American People, but the rulers like Obama, Michelle Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Joe Biden, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, liberal College professors, union bosses and other loyal liberal/Communist Party members Will live in opulent splendor.

It is the America that Obama and the Democratic Party have created with the willing assistance of the American media, Hollywood , unions, universities, the Communist Party of America, the Black Panthers and numerous anti-American Foreign entities.

Barack Obama has brought more destruction upon this country in four years than Any other event in the history of our nation, but it is just the beginning of what he And his comrades are capable of.

The Occupy Wall Street movement is just another step in their plan for the Annihilation of America.

"Socialism, in general, has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it."

1913-21 Woodrow Wilson-establishes criminal banker control in USA

War is a Racket......I wouldn't go to war again as I have done to protect some lousy investment of the bankers. There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket. - Major General Smedley Butler, USMC

What is war really about?...Let's ask one of the most decorated US Marines hero's of all time....U.S. Marine Major General Smedley D. Butler.......

"War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small 'inside' group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes."...

..."I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents."

Smedley Butler on Interventionism

-- Excerpt from a speech delivered in 1933, by Major General Smedley Butler, USMC.

War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses.

I believe in adequate defense at the coastline and nothing else. If a nation comes over here to fight, then we'll fight. The trouble with America is that when the dollar only earns 6 percent over here, then it gets restless and goes overseas to get 100 percent. Then the flag follows the dollar and the soldiers follow the flag.

I wouldn't go to war again as I have done to protect some lousy investment of the bankers. There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket.

There isn't a trick in the racketeering bag that the military gang is blind to. It has its "finger men" to point out enemies, its "muscle men" to destroy enemies, its "brain men" to plan war preparations, and a "Big Boss" Super-Nationalistic-Capitalism.

It may seem odd for me, a military man to adopt such a comparison. Truthfulness compels me to. I spent thirty- three years and four months in active military service as a member of this country's most agile military force, the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to Major-General. And during that period, I spent most of my time being a high class muscle- man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism.

I suspected I was just part of a racket at the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all the members of the military profession, I never had a thought of my own until I left the service. My mental faculties remained in suspended animation while I obeyed the orders of higher-ups. This is typical with everyone in the military service.

I helped make Mexico, especially Tampico, safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefits of Wall Street. The record of racketeering is long. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-1912 (where have I heard that name before?). I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. In China I helped to see to it that Standard Oil went its way unmolested.

During those years, I had, as the boys in the back room would say, a swell racket. Looking back on it, I feel that I could have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.
